Confidence soars after Islay win April 2007
Kintyre had it’s first 15 a-side home game on Saturday 31st since reforming earlier this year with a great result. With a fantastic amount of hard work from all the boys and a hat-trick from Andrew McLean, Kintyre managed a 41-17 win against a very testing side from Islay.
A wander to Wigton April 2007
At 5.00am on Sunday 1st April a minibus full of Kintyre boys started their journey to Wigton for a 7’s tournament. Was this an elaborate April Fool’s joke? No! It was the beginning of a long and challenging day. The lads gave 100% and gained respect as well as rapturous applause from the other more established sides as they made a display of great determination, Thanks to John Sanderson for driving the minibus on such a lengthy journey.
